May is National Strawberry Month so we are celebrating the wonderful fruit with a dedicated recipe! Summer is on its way so we’ve created a special fruity strawberry ice cream for you to make with an added surprise.
Shopping List (serves 6):
- 4-8oz/110-225g strawberries
- ½ pint/300ml double cream
- 14oz/397g tin condensed milk
- 1 x Fruitypot
Begin by blending the strawberries in a food processor to create a purée Then, put the cream and condensed milk in a large bowl and beat with an electric whisk until they are thick.
Next, fold the strawberry purée and cream mixture together. Add in the Fruitypot pieces to add some surprise chunky fruit piece to the ice-cream.
Finally, scrape the ingredients into a plastic box, cover and freeze for a few hours until the ice-cream has set.
